About Marles Farm

Marles Farm was purchased in 2014 by Katie and Seb King. Originally 18 acres but now 9.5 still retaining its original buildings. It had been empty for a number of years and was overgrown with the fabric of the building in desperate need of care before falling into further disrepair.

With 6 bedrooms and the ability to sleep up to 12 it has been lovingly restored by local craftsmen using traditional materials and techniques but also updated with modern insulation, underfloor heating and biomass boiler.  We also have wood burning stoves as well as a gas cooker.

Marles Farm is our home, not just a holiday and we want to make it feel yours while you stay.

The first reference to Marles (Marless or Marlis) Farm is from 1795 there is little information after that other than local families taking ownership over the next 200 years.

There is plentiful parking, the nearest train station, Crewkerne is 2 hours and 30 minutes from London Waterloo and a short taxi ride. We also have secure bicycle parking and a useful set of tools.

There are 2 acres of woodland (Alder Moor Copse and Moor), a large upper field (Cowleaze and Marlis Mead) and smaller lower field (Orchard), in any of these you may see or hear badgers, owls, deer, rabbits and many birds including our resident buzzard. During the Spring and Summer and into early Autumn there are pedigree sheep on Marlis Mead.

Wifi is provided throughout the Farmhouse as well as TV and hifi with AirPlay. There are also quiet spaces to relax.

We welcome families and pets.
